YOU ARE DAMAGING YOUR BRAIN BY DOING THESE....

BY DOING THESE YOU ARE DAMAGING YOUR BRAIN

Health they say is wealth, but some of us are careless about their health. They do whatever they want with their body and also eat whatever they feel like eating without thinking about the implications both now and in future.

Today we are going to discuss about one of the vital organs of the human body; which is the brain.

The human brain is the central organ of the human nervous system, and with the spinal cord makes up the central nervous system. The brain consists of the cerebrum, the brainstem and the cerebellum. It controls most of the activities of the body, processing, integrating, and coordinating the information it receives from the sense organs, and making decisions as to the instructions sent to the rest of the body. The brain is contained in, and protected by, the skull bones of the head.

Habits that Damages the Human Brain

1. Inadequate sleep:

Sleep is very important for both your physical and mental well being. A good night sleep is between 6, 7 or 8 hours which are important for your brain and your body as a whole. It has been recently revealed that the brain cleanses itself of toxins during a deep sleep cycle. Sleep denial also increases the death of brain cells, which can lead to impaired memory and reduced faculties.

2. Alcohol Consumption/Smoking: In this part of the world a lot of us had adopted alcohol and smoking as part of our everyday life. If you cannot do without smoking or alcohol that is alcohol abuse and you are a drunkard. We all know that cigarette causes cancer and its prolonged intake causes brain-shrinkage which can lead to Alzheimer’s disease! Please stop that it is for your own good.

3. Junk foods: Junk foods are foods with high sugar content we love eating. Consuming too much sugar will prevent the absorption of proteins and nutrients in the normal food we eat which can lead to malnutrition. This can cause damage to your brain and body at large. Therefore you and you children should avoid eating such foods. Consume more balance diet.

4. Caffeine/Soda/Energy Drinks: This is related to junk food eating. These are drinks we take every day and most of us are not aware that they contain a lot of sugar which their manufacturers don’t include it in the list of ingredient used in making them because they don’t want you to know and stop buying it.

5. Over-eating: Whether hungry or not it is not advisable for you to over feed or over eat yourself because you have enough to eat. Some of us would be full but would still continue eating out of greed and wickedness. Well if you are guilty of that please; know that it is not good for health. Over eating hardens your brain arteries.

6. Sleeping with Your Head Covered: We’re all guilty of this in particular. Some of us including myself cannot sleep if we don’t cover ourselves from head to toe. I am sorry to tell you that whenever you cover your head while sleeping you are increasing the amount of carbon monoxide intake into your body and reducing the oxygen intake which kills the cells of your brain.

What are the other habits we do that damage or can damage our Brain?
