Today a lot of christians are claiming that they are on the right path due to their denominational/doctorinal inclination yet they do not know who founded their churches or sects. This piece is for some of us that do not know how thier churches came to being. Before proceeding will like us to know or define a Church. A church could be veiwed in three (3) dimensions.

What is a Church?
According to wikipedia, Christian Church is an ecclesiological term referring to what different Christian denomination conceive of as being the true body of Christians or the original institution established by Jesus. "Christian Church" has also been used in academia as a synonym for Christianity, despite the fact that it is composed of multiple churches or denominations, many of which hold a doctrinal claim of being the "one christian church", to the exclusion of the others.
While for many Protestant Christians, the Christian Church has two components: the church visible, institutions in which "the Word of God purely preached and listened to, and the sacraments administered according to Christ's institution", as well as the church invisible and all "who are truly saved" (with these beings as members of the visible church).
In this understanding of the invisible church, "Christian Church" (or catholic Church) does not refer to a particular Christian denomination, but includes all individuals who have been regenerated. Based on this topic and the aforementioned definitions, Church shall mean the various Christian denominations or sects.

1. Lutheran church was founded in year 1517 by Martin Luther and its headquarters is in Germany;
2. Anglican church was founded in year 1536 by Henry VIII with its headquarter in England;
3. The Calvinist church was established in year 1555 by John Calvin the church's headquarters is in Switzerland;
4. The Presbyterian sect was founded in 1560 by John Knox in Scotland;
5. The Congregationalist denomination came into existence in the year 1582 and it was founded by Robert Brown in Holland (Netherland);
6. The Espicopallans was established in yearr: 1789 by Samuel Seabury in the American Colonies;
7. The Baptist Church was established in 1609 by John Smyth in Amsterdam;
8. The Methodist Episcopal came into being in the year 1739 it was founded by John & Charles Wesley in England;
9. The United Brethren was founded in 1800 by Philip Otterbien & Martin Boehim in Maryland;
10. The Disciples of Christ sect was established in 1827 by Thomas and Alexander Campbell in Kentucky, USA;
11. The Mormons was birthed in 1830 by Joseph Smith in New York, USA;
12. The Salvation Army church was established in the year 1857 by William Booth in London;
13. The Jehovah Witness sect came into existence in year 1974 which Charles as the brain child of Taze Russell in Pennsylvania, USA;
14. The Christian Science church was founded in 1879 by Mary Baker Eddy in Boston, USA;
15. Four-Square Gospel Church was founded in 1917 by Aimee Sample Mcpherson in Los Angeles, USA;
16. The Harvest Christian was birthed in 1972 by Greg Laurie and it headquarters is in Riverside, CA, USA;
17. Calvary Chapel was created in 1965 by Chuck Smith and its home is in Cost Mesa, CA, USA;
18. The Saddleback Church was born in 1982. by Rick Warren and it headquarters is in Orange County, CA, USA; and
19. The Catholic Church is the first in the world. It was founded in 33 AD by Jesus Christ in Jerusalem but today it headquarters is the Vatican City.
Finally, above are churches and their founders, however the fact that can never be denied is that the Catholic Church is the mother of all churches. It gave birth to all the churches in the world and that's why the Pope remains the head of all Christians in the world.
