How POS agents reveal ATM cards information to fraudsters

The rate at which people lose their money to fraudsters and scammers is becoming more alarming. This is happening due to the wanton activities of some Point of Sale (POS) Agents who trade their customers Debit Cards details for money.

See how they reveal your card information to fraudsters and how to tackle them:

1. Some POS agents snaps the front and back of your ATM card and the pictures to the fraudsters.

2. It is alleged that some POS agents get paid #5,000 for 1 ATM card and #50,000 for 10 ATM cards just a 1day.

3. The fraudsters gets all the digits at the front and back of your ATM card and manipulate to clear your account without traces.

Safety Precautions:

1. Always be careful with your ATM Cards when making transactions using POS.

2. Never allow the POS Agent to take pictures of your ATM card because he/she may use it for fraud.

3. Don't give your debit card to anyone you don't trust to withdraw money on your behalf. Always withdraw your money by yourself.

4. When you misplace your ATM card, please get a police report and inform your bank immediately. 

5. When a POS machine is not working the operator requests to get another one inside the office, ensure you collect your debit card before he or she leaves else it will be snapped inside the room.

6. Find a trusted POS agent and stick to him/her should anything go wrong it will be easily detected.
