HOW TO MAKE A LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP WORK

A long distance relationship is the type of relationship is practiced by couples or partners who are geographically separated from each other. There is the absence or challenges of face-to-face communication or physical contact as a result of distance.
This kind of relationship is common among students, military personnel, workers who are on transfer, mission etc.

A long distance relationship is very difficult and stressful to maintain as a result of the distance therein. However, here are some few ways to make it work:
HOW TO MAKE A LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP WORK

TRUST: it's the feeling of strong reliance on someone's character, abilities/capabilities, strength, honesty etc by someone on another person, something or somebody.

Trust is one of the most  important aspect of any relationship be it a long distance relationship or not. Whenever this is missing or you are doubting your partner believe me your relationship is heading towards a disaster. You have to trust each other in other to overcome this challenge of distance between the both of you.
Advice: Always keep a positive mind, avoid the temptations of doubt and negative thinking.

PATIENCE AND ENDURANCE: yes a long distance relationship can be so emotionally overwhelming, daunting and difficult to maintain and retain because of the distance involved. This is because it denies the partners some important aspects of courtship such as; cuddling, hugging, having a date in your best restaurant/garden, cooking together, doing laundry together etc.
Therefore, for this relationship to wax more stronger, those involved have to persever, excersice patience and endurance to minimize the effects of distance between them. This distance won't remain forever but you guys have to work toward that.

REGULAR COMMUNICATION: communication is the key in any kind of relationship. Without communication you guys are going nowhere. Before the coming of technology and its advancements it take couples sperated geographically months and years to get in touch with their partners depending on the distance involved but today thanks to technology with a mobile phone or a portable modern device I can be in Nigeria but still get in touch with someone in China.
Long distance relationship can still flourish when you call, chat and text each other often, let's say atleast thrice a day. All you guys have to do is to schedule a time that is favourable to the both of you, choose a platform that enables you to make calls either video or voice, chat etc., And just stick to it. This medium could be WhatsApp, Facebook, Skype etc.

SUPPORTING EACH OTHER: this is the time you need the support and encouragement of each other because of the emotional stress involved with the distance keeping you apart. Always give your assurance and words of encouragement to your partner whenever he/she needs that. Always use these phrases; I love you, I'm yours forever, I will be with you soon.

TRAVELING TO MEET EACH OTHER: it's not easy though but it is very important to do this once in while. One of you should schedule a time to visit the other person wherever he/she is 😉. This may not be as easy as it sounds but that's one of the price those in love have to pay.
Note: You should only do this traveling thing when the both of you are comfortable with it.

This is all for now, but there are many other ways you can adopt to make your long distance relationship work which I may not know or didn't mentioned here.

I hope you find this helpful, please like, subscribe, and comment.
