On Saturday, 26th of September 2020, Chelsea came from three (3) goals behind by ending the match on a 3:3 draw during their English Premier League encounter with West Brom Albion.
You could recall that Chelsea were three goals down during the face-off, they however bounced back after the break with goals from Mason Mount, Callum Hudson Odoi and Tammy Abraham.
It was believed that Brazilian defender, Thiago Silva who recently joined Chelsea from PSG of France was responsible for Robinson's goal.
However, Thiago Silva who captained the Chelsea side in the draw has at this afternoon on his Instagram account taken responsibility for what happened.
He apologized for the blunder through a post on his Instagram account @thiagosilva : "There are days when unfortunately hard work doesn't pay off the way we expected."
"I am upset, but I take responsibility for the mistake I made, as I always did. As difficult as it may be, we have to get over this and move on. I want to thank my teammates and the entire staff for their continuous support since I joined Chelsea FC."
"I am really grateful of that support 👊🏽. I promise to all of you that I will give everything I have on the pitch, putting all my energy and commitment into the games to come."
His post has generated thousands of comments and likes from fans and his teammates as well.
I think Thiago Silva has been man enough to accept responsibility for whatever happened on that day. It is up tohim and his teammates to move on from that draw with West Brom.
What advice do you have for Thiago Silva and his Chelsea teammates?
